8th Graders to YMCA to serve the elderly

Mrs. McKnight took several 8th graders to the Harvey YMCA to minister to the elderly residents. The students were able to serve them drinks and to pray for them. They also took turns sharing poems of encouragement. The residents were glad to see them.

I think it is great that students can learn to encourage others throught he gifts and talents God has given each of them. What a great way to learn that when we give, we actually receive. MS

Now that we have been to visit the
Seniors a few times, they look forward to the students when they come. During the Bible Study the students had an opportunity to ask some personal questions and they received some excellent advice from their elders. Later, I told the students how priceless it is to get advice from seasoned saints of God. It was such a blessing. The students stated how they really got a lot out of the Bible study since they were able to actively participate.
