7th Graders to Windmill Nursing Facility
Miss Cooper took some 7th graders to Windmill Nursing Facility to visit and serve residents. They were able to participate in a bowling activity. The students had a chance to show off their bowling skills to the residents. It seemed to entertain and cheer them up. Then the students cheered for each resident as they took a turn using a foam ball to knock down the plastic pins. It was a mutual exchange of fun and energy.

I am happy that I went to da Nursin' Home.
it was fun to play with the elders
I went with Ms.Cooper and the trip was was fun. The people were happy and the other kids that I went with sang and that definitely was entertaining. I like the mission and I hop the men and women enjoyed our visit. :) C.E.G.
We had so much fun today. We lost track of time and didn't want to leave.
Long ago when I was the third grade teacher, we took our class to the same nursing home each month to sing and serve them cupcakes (for all the birthdays that month). The residents loved it and the kids really enjoyed meeting the people and developing friendships.
